The last Tomb Raider film, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life, was released in 2003 and although it was a decent video game flick, financially it couldn’t match the success of the first film so the idea for more films was put on hold. Until now.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. and MGM are in the process of rebooting the Tomb Raider movie franchise and have tapped writer Evan Daugherty to write the script. Daugherty recently penned scripts for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Divergent, Snow White and the Huntsman and G.I. Joe 3.

It appears that the movie reboot may follow the video game reboot and will follow a young Lara Croft as she embarks on her first adventure. Angelina Jolie famously portrayed Lara Croft in the first two films, who do you think would be a good fit for the new film?
