Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a collection that includes Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher on November 11.

While the collection brings the classic worlds Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas to modern platforms, it also features new GTA V-inspired controls and visual enhancements across the board such as improved resolution and visual fidelity around the globe. All three games can be faithfully tuned and improved upon while still maintaining their original aesthetic.

The wide range of modern control upgrades includes improved targeting and lock-on aim, weapon and radio station wheels updates, new Mini-Maps with enhanced navigation that allows players to place waypoints to their destinations, updated Achievements, and Trophies, according to Rockstar’s announcement. The Nintendo Switch version features Gyro aiming and touch screen camera zooming and pans. The PC version supports NVIDIA DLSS as well as additional achievements via the Rockstar Games social club.

The lighting system has been completely rebuilt, with improved shadows and weather effects, as well as upgraded vehicle and character models. There are also new textures that provide higher resolution across buildings, roads, interiors, and weapons. The game includes a variety of environmental upgrades, including new foliage, smoother surfaces, and greater draw distances. This will allow for a higher level of depth and clarity.
