To make up for the service outages that plagued the PlayStation network services during the Christmas holidays, Sony is offering a 10 percent discount on virtually everything in the PSN Store. However, there are a few stipulations potential buyers should be aware of.
The 10 percent discount will take the form of a one-time-use code which will be posted on the PlayStation Blog and on the official @PlayStation Twitter account in the coming days. The code will only be valid from 9:00 a.m. PST (12:00 p.m. EST) on January 23 to 9:00 a.m. PST on January 26. The code will apply to all purchases with the exception of PS Plus subscriptions, Music Unlimited purchases, PS Now rentals, and video rentals. Since the code is one-time-use, you won’t be able to apply it to multiple items unless you buy them all at the same time in which case the code will take 10 percent off the total price of all items combined.
More details can be found on the latest PlayStation Blog update. PS Plus members are also receiving a free 5-day extension to their PS Plus subscription period.
