Taking a cue from the success of Fortnite and Call of Duty on mobile, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is following suit this year. The announcement for PUBG: New State came late last month from publisher Krafton Inc. and developer PUBG Studio. The game takes place in 2051, years after the original will feature much of the same gameplay fans have come to love.
The mobile game will also include weapon customization features that will transform, enhance, and add firepower to their weapons. The game will also feature combat rolls, drones, and a futuristic ballistic shield.
After the announcement last month, more than five millions fans pre-registered for the game in the Google Play Store within a week. App Store pre-registrations will come at a later date. While we don’t have an actual launch for the game, Krafton did ensure the game will see release in 2021, with alpha tests coming later this year.
