The Dark Souls 3 servers were taken offline in January this year and only restored in August for PC gamers. A remote code execution vulnerability was found that allowed people to take control of the computer being used by the other player. It’s unknown if this new problem is related to the security issue that the team spent more of this year trying to fix.
