Predator cameo teased for upcoming Call Of Duty: Ghosts DLC

The next major DLC expansion for Call of Duty: Ghosts, titled Devastation, is set to include standard additions such as new maps and weapons…but if the latest teaser from developer Infinity Ward is to be believed, a certain jungle-stalking 1980’s alien threat might be showing up as well.

Infinity Ward recently released this new video on its Instagram account along with the tagline “If it bleeds…” (a famous quote from the 1987 Predator film). Highlights of the video include a jungle environment that looks awfully like the Central American setting from the movie, a downed military helicopter, and a brief glimpse of a terrifyingly fast enemy cloaked in invisibility followed by a distinctive roar. While Infinity Ward naturally avoided making any direct confirmations,  it seems safe to say that the iconic alien hunter that first tangled with Arnold Schwarzenegger back in 1987 will be making an appearance in Devastation.

This wouldn’t be the first time Infinity Ward brought an iconic silver screen horror icon into Call of Duty: Ghosts, as the game’s previous major DLC release, Onslaught, featured a multiplayer mode that allowed players to take control of Halloween killer Michael Meyers.

The Devastation DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature four new multiplayer maps (Behemoth, Collision, Ruins, and Unearthed), the new “Ripper” weapon that can double as both an assault rifle and an SMG, the second chapter of the co-op Extinction mode’s story campaign titled “Mayday”, and whatever this new Predator tease entails (possibly a new multiplayer mode that allows players to play as the Predator).
